Green Lantern Teaser II by What-the-Gaff Green Lantern Teaser II by What-the-Gaff
.:CLICK TO DOWNLOAD TO SEE FULLVIEW:.

The flipside of the Green Lantern movie. The whole "No/Know Fear" thing makes such a great tagline, and it takes up less space than the GL oath itself, which works really well for a movie poster. I wonder what a movie version of Sinestro would look like?

I work in advertising.. I'm a copywriter actually, and those are damn good taglines. That's a great concept for a campaign and I can totally see it as the real one.
Congratulations!

I don't suppose there are any openings available, are they? I'm pretty good with logos.

unless you're going to go the Lord of the Rings path[ie 3 movies long] its going to be difficult to do the Sinestro Corps War...

great poster though....

It's true, you couldn't fit it all in one movie. If you wanted to travel the road from Origin to the Sinestro Corps War all the way to the Blackest Night, you'd need at least three movies. Maybe more. That's part of why Dark Knight was so sweet, because you had to wait until the sequel for the Joker.

Sam Raimi should have done that with Venom, too. He should have set aside one movie for just Peter and the alien suit, and then another movie for his struggle with the fully realized Venom, it's better than trying to cram all that on top of Sandman and the Goblin legacy in one film. Spider-Man 3 could have been so better if they had simply stretched it out into two movies.

I dont think you'll be able to do Blackest night in a movie....its too much story and on such a scale that it'd be impossible to do a movie

1st GL movie establishes Hal and Sinestro
2nd movie Hal deals with some1 like Mongul, Sinestro gathers his corps and strikes near the end of the movie

3rd movie's a full out war, starts on OA ends on Earth

And for the sequel, this should be the image for THAT movie.

Seriously, nice work for this and the GL Corps one. Very stylized, and very cool.

This is such a cool poster!
If they made a Green Lantern movie and it was about the Sinestro Corps War,
that would be so badass!
Great Job!

is it wrong for me to say that I'm actually rooting more for the Sinnestro corp more than the green lanterns?

Hmmm, Sinestro. Are you thinking that a Green Lantern movie would be a little like the "Emerald Dawn"?

A bit. I do figure that it's an origin story for Hal Jordan, but it's not so much lifted from the pages of the comics down to the letter. You'd have to set up the Corps, the relation between Hal and Sinestro, the origin of the yellow ring, and so forth, which is an awful lot for a 90-120 minute timeframe, especially the Corps itself. 3600 was the original number of Green Lanterns in the universe. Of course, Wizard magazine made an interesting suggestion regarding an "Ultimate Green Lantern" which would work very well for a movie.

I can definately see the point in that, though what you described seems like it could be spread between 2 movies or so as far as the setting up of the Corps, the relationship between Hal and Sinestro and so on.

That's true, the story of Green Lantern could be told over a series of films. If the folks at DC aren't considering this, then they are not doing their jobs.

NOpe, but then again with Marvel movies having more popularity, it is difficult for DC to compete with that.

The most memorable characters that the mainstream public knows about is Batman and Superman, beyond that only true fans of DC know the heroes inside and out.

The Green Lantern being one of them.

And I think it was rather unfair that they shoved in John Stewart into the Justice League animation, and there was no mention whatsoever of Hal Jordan or Kyle Katarn. If there was it was a small glimpse.

Kyle Rayner was in the Superman Animated, and he made a cameo in JLU. Hal Jordan made a brief cameo during part 2 of the Once and Future Thing, where he replaced John Stewart for a few moments due to a radical disturbance in the fabric of reality.

Though, it seems that the only reason that they put John Stewart into this is becuase they needed someone who wasn't white. ^_^:;; Sorry, but someone had to say it. Becuase really John Stewart wasn't as great of a Lantern as Hal Jordan, and besides John Stewart was only a Lantern because of Hal.

Sad, but highly probable. It could also have had something to do with the fact that Hal Jordan was officially dead and disgraced at the time the series was made.

Although, to be fair, John Stewart did try to create an entire world once, and was even in the running to become one of the Guardians. That's no small feat for someone who "isn't as great as Hal Jordan."

Hal jordon played by matt damon or
John stewart played by wesley snipes Or just for fun
Gregory helms as Kyle Rayner. but chances are they will protray Hal jordons character of the green lantern. with the gardians limiting his powers making his weakness yellow. anyways i am rambling good job on this

No way would Helms be Rayner, the man is freelance artist, they can't be using a professional wrestler... unless he can act, can Helms act?

Hm. Being a fan does work to his advantage, it means he cares about the source material. That's always great in an actor.
