DBZ - the Glorious Dream

Description

Dear children, there was once a time when I tried to care about Dragonball Z. I'd heard it was the most exciting action cartoon ever made. Then I watched an entire episode of the bad guys playing rock-paper-scissors and doing calisthenics before the big fight. That is some kinda bullshit. And don't try telling me they were building atmosphere either, because I know a waste of airtime when I see one.

We shouldn't be afraid to dump on an overrated cartoon show.

Oh, I enjoy it muchly! I love both DBZ and ATHF. ;) I don't take DBZ seriously though; in fact, had I been a fan of it before it finished its TV run, I'd have never bothered, because I'd be sick of waiting for new episodes only for it to be hours and hours of filler. And not even GOOD filler, stuff like: *ten hours of Krillin and Gohan twitching in fear at Freiza* *ten hours of Vegeta monologuing* *ten more hours waiting for Goku* *another ten hours waiting for Goku*

They used that ploy so many times. I swear, they waiting for him with Vegeta in the first season, then for the Ginyu force, then for Frieza...three times is WAY too many times.

But, I think if Vegeta wasn't in it, I'd never watch it. I think his ridiculous rage is hilarious. He gets angry even when he's monologuing...and once he hits the floor, he just lays there and monologues for the rest of the season.
